A great getaway – The Coach House is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the Hawkesbury/Blue Mountain area. Located off the main road at the back of the Lochiel House restaurant, this place oozes charm and quaintness. The house itself is a huge suite with a kitchenette and large bathroom replete with copper furnishings and a copper bath! The kitchen is well equipped and one can easily whip up a simple meal here. IGA is literally next door (a 2 min walk) so getting groceries etc is easy. The suite is tastefully and very comfortably finished with a separate sitting area and TV as well as a wood burner for when it gets chilly. The bed is super comfy and linens were top notch. Breakfast supplies are provided in generous portions. There is a nice private garden with a vegetable patch where you’re encouraged to harvest whatever you want – a nice touch! There are chickens (which were quiet!) so freshly laid eggs are available for you to pick as well. WiFi is acceptable and TV reception is also good. Charlene was welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything required for aa comfortable stay. The only thing we thought lacking was a table to eat breakfast on (vs sitting on the sofa and using the coffee table). Overall – an excellent stay and we’ll definitely stay again when coming back to the area. Thank you!

My partner and I looked forward to a weekend getaway here to enjoy. However we ended up leaving the same evening before spending the night.

Granted there were some issues that could have been dealt with some effort by staff had we reached out, but after a busy week, we were not in the mood. We wanted to relax over the weekend and not deal with further issues.

– When we entered the chalet, the air was completely damp. Sitting on the sofa or bed, you would feel the dampness on yourself after you stood up. Matches for the fireplace would not light due to the dampness. The wooden floor was still wet (assuming from cleaning). We understand it has been unusually wet, but offering this level of “comfort” to guests paying upwards of 300 a night is not right. Blasting the aircon for 3 hours on powerful reduced the dampness in the air slightly but to reduce the dampness soaked in by the furniture would have taken far longer. The wet floor did dry up after a few hours of aircon.

– We then noticed in the main body of the chalet, 2 of 4 ceiling lights were not working with 1 just hanging from its socket. They were positioned in a way such that now, half the chalet would not be lit.

– If there is a wedding on, you will need to arrive as soon as you can for available parking. There is no dedicated parking spot for people staying in chalets.

As mentioned above, we did NOT reach out for help from staff from the above issues. So perhaps, with some effort, some of the above issues could have been resolved.

But for the amount paid, we did expect a smoother experience.

Perhaps in normal dry weather without a wedding the chalet would be a comfortable and peaceful getaway (assuming ceiling lights are fixed).

It was the first wedding venue I checked out as I started searching for a place for my wedding. Didn’t end up going for the venue because it’s too far from me. Jasmine who hosted me on site was lovely to speak to, she was very patient and helpful in answering my queries. The place is nice and I especially loved the view, pathway and the swimming pool

Julie was a most excellent mortgage broker. I was an ‘older’ first home buyer with a single income.When banks were reluctant, Julie made it happen. Julie was encouraging and went out of her way on many occasions. She was a great communicator and very responsive to questions. I currently use iris properties and they have managed my house for a couple of years i cannot recommend martin or Debbie and the other ladies they do a great job and if you need a managing agent or are looking to buy or sell put them on your list they are terriffic.

Excellent service – friendly, accommodating, punctual and very reasonably priced. I couldn’t be happier with the service or the outcome. My carpets and rug were way overdue for a clean and now they look brilliant. I would definitely recommend Hawkesbury Carpet Cleaning.

Pop in here if you’re heading over the mountains for a holiday or a weekend away. The fruit is always fresh and they have all the essentials and plus some ‘spoil yourself’ things. Prices are compatible to Sydney supermarket prices even though they are at the top of the hill. It’s a credit to the owners for having such a well stocked convenience store.

This is a special place! Discover this place on top of the mountain a sanctuary dedicated for the glory of God. We used to have Friday prayers and sing and praise throughout the evening and meet other children of God
Facilities are good and clean -like tidy camp environment good hot water and good hosts.
Dynamic space and fresh air!

Such a beautiful place to pray and meditate with God. Driving in and through to the chapel & prayer cabins is such a lovely sight. I come here often to use their chapel prayer rooms with my friends. Love their hearts to allow access to such a beautiful place at no cost free of charge, is such a blessing. Thank you! God bless.
