Glenn came around to my house to quote me for finding and fixing a small roof leak. After checking the roof he told me that he may have found a small spot that was causing the leak but it was not worth quoting. He offered to seal the spot with sealant for free then and there and with any luck that would fix the problem. So far it’s looking good. This kind of honesty and integrity is rare in my experience and I’ll definitely be contacting able roofing for any future roofing jobs.

Telephoned for a quote today for some minor gable repairs and painting, “response was No mate you will have to call the big companies there is just my brother and myself! (hey Able Roofing – so what do you do then and perhaps change your Company name and delete the “Roofing” as not to mislead and waste people’s time) Save yourself some time and a call elsewhere.

Great service – sent confirmation texts for quote and the service date, turned up exactly on time for both! Had a lot of knowledge and gave great advice. Repair looks great, the roof is now water-tight, thank you!

I recommend Ultrashield roof services for a good value, quality job.
As a tradesman myself, it is important to me that service providers approach a job with an intention for quality.
I perceived this, in my dealings with Ultrashield, with each person I dealt with in the process; no cutting corners or trying to rush things. Such attributes are a necessity, if you want long lasting quality from the service.
This is what I got from Ultrashield and the result is a happy customer!
Being a service provider myself I know how important it is to recognise a quality service provider, not only for the reward of a great business, but also for the assistance of other potential customers, so that they too might get what they are looking for: a job well done, at a fair price.

I engaged this company for a roof repair and they were very unreliable and very very poor workmanship. They insisted I pay their $3000+ invoice for this work and the photos speak for themselves. Firstly they used different colour tiles to replace broken ones and mind you they didnt replace all broken tiles. They were suppose to re-do ridge capping and as you can see there are no weep holes, 2 colour tile cement was used and finished off with a finger with no quality in their work. The job looks like it was done by a five year old, and they could have probably done a better job. Now not even 1 year on (10 months to be exact) I have had to get another quote as my roof is still leaking and worse (due to no weep holesput in) and now I have to fork up another $4500 to fix the same problem again. My advise to you, please shop elsewhere and DO NOT USE this company to fix your roof unless you want to go through what I am going through. Their workmanship is poor. They tried to hide these photos from me and until I demanded to see the finished job. They said they couldnt find the same roof tiles and once I said I would get them they myseriosly said they found some. They lie to you and all they want is your money. I want my roof repaired according to industry standards and until it is fixed correctly this post will remain. Or I want my money back.

Got this company out to look at leaks in our patio roof. We were provided with a quote for the work to repair the leaks. After the work was done, the leaks were still present. The same leaks. We contacted them and advised that the leaks were still present. We were then issued with a second quote to repair the leaks, with a similar value of the first quote. They refused to acknowledge that we got little to no value from the amount paid for the leak repairs, and insisted that we pay for further work to remedy the issue. We were pointed to a statement in the first quote about their ‘process of elimination’ approach to work, which effectively means you could pay for work, get zero value, and be issued with another quote to complete the work. If using this company, be sure to ask for all possible stage repairs and the cost of each, so that you’re fully aware of the total cost of the work required, and not only the cost of the first stage. We will not be accepting the second quote, instead choosing to use another company to complete our roof leak repairs.

We engaged this company to provide a full roof inspection due to a leak our tenant advised us of.
We went ahead with their quote to repair- paying alomst $7000.00.

No full roof report was supplied
No pictures provided as they assured us they world prior to repair and post repair.

In their quote they state cost includes: Install temporary heights tie off point and all PPE for working on roofs.

They eventually sent us a picture after advising them we would not pay the bill prior to receiving the reports and evidence photos of the rapair/s.

The picture they sent (clearly showing a person on the roof) with no Heights gear – harness or heights tie off – as required by WHS QLD and advised in quote.

A month later our tenant advised they had buckets of water entering via the ceiling through the light fitting.

We had to authorised emergency electrician to “make safe” immediately for the family living in the property added costs.

Roof Leaks were advised and told us they are to busy to attend in the near future and to throw a tarp on it or call SES!!!

We had to call the SES (non professional roof people) attended after heavy rain to find several broken tiles as well as a full tile that had been displaced allowing the water to enter.

On Roof-leaks quote they did not state anything about any other areas of concern and or that any tiles were displaced so we can only assume that there was no area of issue to report.

So our evidence is:
1 they did not complete a full inspection as requested
2 they did not adequately attend to the repairs
3 when tramping on our roof THEY dislodged the tile resulting in water inundation- SES told us “these tiles have a locking mechanism so they don’t just fall out” something has to have dislodged the tile.
4 After several emails and phone calls Roof’-leaks advised our agent they were having discussion with their director and would get back to us.

5 That was 3,5 weeks ago and ALL following emails and calls from both ourselves and our agent have resulted in ZERO CONTACT….

6 We are reporting this company to:
– Roofing Licensing body,
– Building ombudsman and
– Work cover QLD

as these cowboys can not be allowed to continue to provide inadequate services thieving from persons who are not specialists and are relying on licenced companies to provide a professional quality service.

Highly recommend DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY….
