Types of Housing in Swansea
Looking for a place to live in Swansea? You’re in luck! Swansea has a variety of housing options to choose from. Whether you’re looking for an apartment, townhouse, or detached home, there’s something for everyone in this vibrant coastal community. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at the different types of housing available in Swansea, NSW.
Townhouses
Townhouses are houses that are attached to each other, usually in a row. Townhouses are a great option for those who want the privacy of their own home, but don’t want the hassle of maintaining a large property. Most townhouses have small yards, so you won’t have to worry about mowing the lawn or trimming the hedges.
These houses are also a great option for those who want to be close to their neighbours. If you’re looking for a sense of community, then a townhouse complex is the perfect place for you.
Detached homes
If you’re looking for a bit more space, then a detached home might be the right choice for you. These homes are not attached to any other properties, so you’ll have your own private yard. This is ideal for families with young children or pets. Detached homes usually have more square footage than townhouses, so you’ll have plenty of room to spread out.
Apartments
For those who want to live in the heart of the action, an apartment might be the best option. Swansea’s apartments are located in the downtown core, so you’ll be close to all the shops, restaurants, and bars. If you’re looking for a place to call home that’s centrally located, then an apartment is the way to go.
Swansea has something for everyone when it comes to housing. Whether you’re looking for a townhouse, detached home, or apartment, there’s sure to be a perfect fit for you in this beautiful coastal community.
How to Find the Perfect Home in Swansea
Now that you know a bit more about the different types of housing available in Swansea, it’s time to start your search for the perfect home. Here are a few tips to get you started:
-Start by determining your budget. How much can you afford to spend on rent or mortgage payments each month? Once you have a number in mind, you can start narrowing down your options.
-Think about what type of home best suits your needs. Do you need a lot of space, or are you looking for something more compact? Would you prefer to live in an apartment complex or townhouse community? Consider your lifestyle and needs when making this decision.
-Make a list of must-have features. What amenities are important to you? Do you need a place that’s close to public transit, or would you prefer to have a private yard? Write down your top priorities so you can narrow down your search.
-Take your time. Once you find a few places that meet your criteria, take the time to visit them in person. Spend some time in the community and get a feel for the neighbourhood. You want to be sure that you’re comfortable with your new surroundings before making any decisions.

Great spot for picnic. There are some nice shaded areas, with easy access to the water for a dip. Picnic tables are scattered across the foreshore. There is also a boat ramp.

Beautiful place, we were visiting from England. Son in law’s brother took us out in his boat. We had a picnic on a sandbar in the water with his family. Lovely day.

I was mistaken for a thief whilst walking my bike through the entry gate, was yelled at to stop the third time I stopped and turned asking if it was me the reception lady was yelling at .Indeed it was she yelled YES come here now, I was asked was I staying and what my site number was.I took off my helmet and sunglasses with people around staring at my confrontation yes I am.Oh she said I thought you were a kid, I replied I am a 52 year old woman,oh don’t be offended she said like I said I thought you were a kid .So apparently it’s OK to speak to kids in the same tone but then it got better telling me when they see a kid with a backpack on this is a sure sign they are going into thieve. I explained once again that I am not a kid I am a 52yrs old. I popped my head in the next day so they could take note of what I was wearing ,oh no don’t worry it was a compliment because you look so young.I am not young nor do I look young and was not impressed with there amusement, my husband thought it may be because I am aboriginal.I had ridden in and out the two previous days without a problem, they are not consistent and apparently the manager told me that they often yell out speak to to young people in this tone.Keep the gate shut and let people use the pin number isn’t that’s what it is for to keep thieves our.We have travelled all around the state and interstate in our motor home and I have never been treated in this manner before, take your $1 coins if you want to use the washing machine as the office cannot change notes or coins for you.I will never stay at this park again.

Great ground this one. Not a blight on the club or the grounds but viewing games during covid and having to be behind the goalposts sucks.

What a little hidden Gem! So relaxing and quiet!
The Park is spotlessly maintained, great resort style pool and large grassy sites. Also have Camp kitchens, that were also spotless. We went to Grannies Pool to swim , was fantastic also. Already booked to come back in October, might also be sooner than that. Very friendly Staff, nothing was a problem. Fantastic that dogs are welcome too!
Great Pub (Orana) nearby that also has a courtesy bus, and Blacksmiths Takeaway was also scrumptious, home made fish and chips, second to none! Thank you Blacksmiths Beach Holiday Park. We are so excited to have found your wonderful park..

We visited over a weekend in the school holidays and were visited by security right on the 10pm curfew on the Saturday night and told to turn the low volume music off and wrap it up for the night when we were playing a family game of quoits with the kids.
The following night we were sat around watching the state of origin when we were visited by park security at 9.30pm (before curfew) to tell us we can only make noise for 30 more minutes but we could no longer cheer.
We will not be returning or recommending this park to anyone as they clearly do not accomadate people who just like a bit of good old family fun!
Perhaps it’s much better suited for the elderly!
