Prince Edward Park

This is a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic, go for a walk or join in with one of the many free community events that are held here. You can even spot an echidna!

Cumberland State Forest Park

If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet, Cumberland State Forest Park is perfect. It’s just 20 minutes from Woronora by car so it won’t feel too far away when you want to get back home. There are lots of walking tracks around this park which range in difficulty level – choose whichever track best suits your fitness ability!

Woronora Dam Reserve & Bushcare Group

The native plants at this reserve have been restored through volunteer work over several years. The aim was to protect biodiversity not only in the reserve but also in the surrounding areas. If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity, this is a great place to start!

Woronora Heights Oval

Burnum Burnum Sanctuary

This is probably the most unique park in Woronora, and it’s well worth taking a look around if you can. Burnum Burnum was an Aboriginal man who dedicated his life to protecting Australia’s native flora and fauna. There are gorgeous walking tracks here that will lead you through beautiful forests full of wildlife – including kangaroos!

A great place to visit if you’re interested in history, transport or enjoy looking at beautiful old public transport vehicles. The volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can ride a lovingly restored hundred year old tram across the Princes Highway level crossing to the historic Royal National Park station above Audley. What a wonderful way to hear that old ding ding ding!

A great place to take the kids. Friendly staff who work 2 days a week voluntarily. There is a nice souvenir shop and picnic area and a little kiosk for drinks, ice cream and chips and a great museum with nice trams for the kids to explore and a lot of history. Unlimited tram rides are a bonus stopping in the national park for a short distance.
