The professionalism, support and flexibility Long Reef staff provided in everything we needed for our wedding was exceptional. The food and wine hit the spot and there was more than enough for everyone. And of course the setting on the beach and surrounded by greenery was exactly what we wanted! The recommended providers were also amazing. We could not have asked for anything more.

The team at Long Reef are second to none… our wedding coordinator Melanie is a true asset to the team and was by our side through two postponements due to the pandemic.
The food was exquisite, the room looked amazing and the staff were accommodating and attentive to our and our guests needs.
Thank you again for making it a magical night.

Had a great night here, despite some terrible weather. The food and drinks were delicious and the risotto was the best I have ever had! The weather and birds were a little loud and we could feel a few small drops of rain coming into the outdoor section, but this is out of the restaurant’s control. Overall a great time and the staff were lovely.

The squid ink spaghetti with crab and prawns….to die for.
So much value here.
Not only was it fresh, substantial and sooo tasty, the value for money…well at $36.90 I dare you to find a better dish anywhere.
A superb view of the ocean.
Don’t miss this place.
Excellent service. Just no fuss relaxed staff and bloody good food. I’ll be back.

Would have been 5* if it wasn’t for a few snarky comments made by the woman managing the tables. We had booked for our anniversary (Which was during the week), when we arrived on the Friday we hadn’t specified in the notes that we wanted outside so were seated inside and decided we weren’t comfortable with that given current covid cases and also the atmosphere really wasn’t as nice during summer so made the decision then to change the booking to the Saturday given it was for a special occasion (of course our fault for not noting but also when booking online there wasn’t an option of outside v inside which may help with this in the future) the Saturday when we got there this same woman was there and first thing she said to us was oh lucky that you were able to change your anniversary and winked at us, implying we were fabricating it was our anniversary and being awkward which was a bit strange, petty and unprofessional and definitely put a downer on the night before even starting. Luckily she wasn’t the person that served us we were served by a lovely gentleman very attentive and the food was fantastic for all courses as were the drinks that we thoroughly enjoyed so still managed to enjoy our anniversary so largely thank you Stella Blu

This is an absolutely incredible RSL. Multiple restaurants including a great bistro with cheap, traditional Sunday roast-style meals and an amazing new extension with plenty of casual seating for two and lounge areas for groups. The interior design of the extension is amazing. Beautiful gas fireplaces. Huge floor to ceiling arched windows. Gorgeous floor tiling. Central courtyard area, big beautiful bar, and lots of little nooks for quiet chats & casual meals. So many gorgeous design elements, including a library of books, thoughtful gold ornaments and trinkets everywhere, and lush green potted plants. The new section is easily one of the most beautiful and contemporary dining and bar spaces I’ve seen on the northern beaches. Absolutely worth a try. Make sure you walk around on arrival to see everything this RSL has to offer before choosing which of several restaurants to dine in. Great food, great service and an opportunity to support our veterans and their families, as they so deserve. Well done, Dee Why RSL! 5 stars!

The recent renovations have really changed the place and made it so much more modern. It seems to be attracting a more modern and younger crowd but still catering to all generations. the cash housie and meat raffles are great and the food in the two new restaurants is fantastic. we love coming here on a weekend!

Good relaxed atmosphere, the fit out complements the location, the food is in keeping. I’d rather be here than the (Newport) Arms – it’s less “epic”.
Was back at the Collaroy again after a Covid enforced absence… and it’s still a great place for an informal catch-up, and while the food is still good, the stand out this visit was the staff… wonderful, warm, friendly and accommodating.
Great hospitality is more than a good wine list and good food… it starts & ends with the staff who make it happen… Well done guys & girls… you kick it out of the park!

The favourite local! Can’t get better location, right on the beach. It’s relaxed drinking, bite, or sit down meal is it’s benefit – all occasions! Tasty food menu too and service with a smile!

Being a local I was excited for this place to open, but that vanished pretty quickly when i saw the prices on the menu and the prices of drinks.
The menu is priced similar to a fine dining restaurant and the drinks aren’t much better. The food was quite good, and the staff ok, but the place lacks any sort of atmosphere.

ventured out to see my favourite film of 2021 (No Time to Die) at my childhood cinema today. (I live 3 hours away by public transport) but wanted to make the day of it.
The nostalgia was real, wanted to check out the “refurb”, a bit of a lick of paint on the interior okay, but unfinished parts near bathrooms, upstairs bar unfinished which was disappointing and average foyer furnishings that add no charm to the building, sadly miserable staff on candy bar, found the visit to be expensive for what it is. Exterior needs a repaint and new main sign. Would love for Roy and the team to revert back to “COLLAROY” sign on the front of the cinema
Although cinema 2 seats are the old ones still, I quite enjoyed sitting it them as they were comfortable except for no upper back support
Will I visit again, yes, but only when I need that nostalgic trip again, feel sorry for people that are regulars of the cinema sadly. Not the art deco gem this wonderful cinema could be

DO NOT DO CLICK AND COLLECT FROM HERE – ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS!!
We placed an order on Liquorland’s website and purchased a variety of ‘online specials’, our money was taken and 30 minutes later we received a text message advising our order was ready to collect. The following evening we attended Liquorland Collaroy to collect our order. The employee behind the counter was incompetent and unable to explain properly where our order that we had paid for was. The employee promptly got the manager on the phone who advised that one of the items we had purchased online they didn’t have, so they just decided not to fill any of the order and didn’t even bother to notify us of this. In fact they lied and told us it was ready to collect!
We were then told by the manager “yeh just pick what ever you wanted to buy from the shelves and we will process your refund in 2-3 days”. Unfortunately due to time constraints we had to purchase the order again in store minus the one item they didn’t have in stock. No assistance was offered by the employee in searching the store for the various wines we had purchased online which we required for our weekend away. So we were out of pocket the original order cost and the cost of all in store purchases which is around $300.
Upon returning home, we contacted Liquorland online who said it must have been an “oopsies” and did we want to begin the process for a refund!!??!!
Liquorland states they have ‘a friendly team who are there to assist you and they offer a speedy 30 minute Click and Collect service’ well certainly not at Collaroy. Not only did they lie to us about our order being ready, they didn’t even fill the remainder of our order NOR did they even bother to process a refund.
Will not ever shop here again.

I had a lovely time and the staff were remarkably welcoming. Noah in particular was the most kind genuine staff member I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. He’d be well deserving of a promotion, if not a few…
